The Club
Hello from Nantwich Camera Club. We are a community of local and area residents dedicated to the craft of photography and the joy of visual storytelling. Whether you are just picking up a camera for the first time or you are an experienced professional, you will find a warm welcome here. Our diverse programme features captivating guest speakers, friendly competitions, and insightful peer reviews, alongside social outings like field trips and photo walks. For those looking to grow, we provide personal mentorship across various genres, including wildlife, landscapes, street photography and creative portraits. Our goal is to foster a supportive space where everyone can master new techniques and find inspiration in every shot.
Our club is based in the picturesque medieval market town of Nantwich in South Cheshire. The area is renowned for the stunning fourteenth-century St Mary’s Church (known locally as the cathedral of South Cheshire), its historic timber-framed buildings, and its heritage as a historic salt mining centre, providing a beautiful backdrop for our photography.

Our History

Nantwich Camera Club was founded in 1981 by John Dodd Esq – who was the club president, until his death in November 2025. The club is affiliated to the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) and The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). Currently we have more than forty members.
